GOLD AWARD for Clapham Common

Awarded ‘Common of the Year’ at London in Bloom 2025! This is an absolutely outstanding achievement and there are two good reasons why the Friends should feel particular pride - the first being the addition of the Wetland Habitat - an outstanding achievement in itself but secondly through our activities and volunteers - we are the ones who turn up week in, week out, to water, litter pick, plant and keep our common as a thriving space for all to enjoy. Well done to all our volunteers!

The long drought last year gave us particular challenges as we worked tirelessly with volunteers to keep plants and trees alive with regular bi-weekly watering sessions. Thanks to Best of Clapham for swelling our ranks of volunteers in our time of need. This is team work producing amazing results for which we can all be proud.
