Activities on the Common

On the grass people play Australian rules football, football, hockey, lacrosse, rugby, softball, ultimate Frisbee and have fitness sessions.

A skatepark for skateboarding and courts for basketball and netball on the north-east side (Rookery Rd).
Outdoor fitness areas with gym equipment on Battersea rise and the West side.
The cricket nets, ping pong table, tennis courts on the southern part of Clapham Common West Side.
A model yacht club on Long pond.
Urban gardening: at Bandstand Beds, volunteers grow, eat and sell fresh vegetables.

The bowling greens are currently not in use, but have been registered as Assets of Community Value by the Friends of Clapham Common and the use of the space remains under review.

Children

2 playground areas on Battersea rise and on Windmill drive.
2 areas for children (no dogs) by the Bandstand and by the Bowling green.

A Wet Play area by the Pavement (Clapham Old Town Site)
The Spinney, an outdoor mud play and nature activity for children aged 0-5 years.

Park Run

It is a 5km run every Saturday at 9:00 am. The event takes place at Clapham Common, Broomwood Road, London, SW4 9AU.
